ROLLIN HOME, rushed to the front on the outside in the first three-sixteenths, briefly gave way to CAPUCHE while racing wide on the stretch turn, came away fast approaching the final eighth and won in hand. CEILING, also rushed to a contending position and raced wide throughout, held on courageously. CAPUCHE had speed, but weakened after getting to the front. HAPPY BOLIVAR had no mishaps. UNDERSTAND began fast, but failed to keep up SUN VOTER, also awav fast, lacked speed. PRINCE SULIEMAN, under steadying restraint for three eighths and on the outside throughout, improved his position gradually approaching the stretch, disposed of FRENCH KNIGHT and came away fast in the last sixteenth. The latter, under pressure from the start, held on stubbornly tor three-sixteenths after reaching the stretch, swerved to the inside when tiring, but outstayed POLAS FLAG. The latter, fractious, but away well and a factor throughout, was blocked when FRENCH KNIGHT came over in the last sixteenth. BUGABOO raced verv wide. HASTY PETER, racing in his best form, took command easily approaching the final quarter and, drawing out into a long lead, was taken under strong restraint in the last sixteenth. POLLYS FOLLY suffered interference soon after the start, improved her position gradually and weakened in the late stages, but outstayed DR. FREELAND. The latter, a factor from the start, had to be eased when MAGENTA swerved into him in the stretch and closed well when clear. MAGENTA had speed, but quit badly in the final three-sixteenths and swerved into DR. FREELAND soon after reaching the s*retch. TECHNOCRAT was shuffled back TRAITOR lost ground. AVALIER. much the best and rated close to the early pace, took command easily when ready and won. with something left. JOSEPH J. G., taken to the out-side alter reaching the turn, where he began to move up, faltered slightly near the end, but withstood SHOW BOYS rally. The latter, well up from the start, dropped back as if through soon after reaching the stretch, but came again. SHALOT was in the less desirable inside part of the track almost throughout, but finished well. ALL DEVIL worked his way up fast on the turn, but quit in the stretch. ORINOCO showed nothing. CLOUD DOR forced the early pace under light restraint, was forced wide and bumped repeatedly by SLIM ROSIE when working his way to the front, bore over sharply, impeding SLIM ROSIE in the final eighth and came away in the last fifty yards. SLIM ROSIE had fine speed from the start, swerved out entering the stretch and appeared beaten before meeting interference nearing the finish. RISKULUS, away fast but unable to keep up, was in close quarters leaving the hack stretch, started to the outside after saving ground on the stretch turn, but raced to the inside as the leaders swerved out, was racing strongly when blocked in the final eighth and had no chance when clear. HUEU came up on the outsicfe, cut across the track sharply in the stretch and was not urged thereafter. NAVANOD began slowly. BLACK HELEN, in the best going throughout and rated under restraint for seven-eighths, came away gradually under light pressure nearing the stretch, but weakened badly in the final sixteenth, yet under severe pressure gave enough to hold COUNT ARTHUR. The latter, also taken over the firmer part of the track throughout and in hand for three quarters, stood a drive gamely and, holding on well, was rapidly wearing down the winner. TEAROUT, badly outrun for three-quarters, made up ground steadily thereafter and finished fastest. BLOODROOT, in the worst going almost throughout, failed to rally when urged hard. ROMAN SOLDIER, also in the worst part of the track throughout and at times lacking room, weakened badly after reaching the last five-sixteenths. NELLIE FLAG was through after three-quarters. CAW CAW had speed and was racing well when he fell lame. CULLODEN, on the inside throughout, moved up fast on the far turn, dropped back slightly entering the stretch, but came again and held on well to the end. SHERRON. under snug restraint for thiee quarters, continued gamely to the last three sixteenths before tiring. BLAMELESS had no mishaps. SWEEPERMAN quit badly after showing speed for five eighths and appeared to stumble on the stretch turn. The others were outrun. Corrected weight — Fair Boy, 109.
