PRINCE BALLOT, on the inside for the early racing, moved up fast after a half mile, took command in the stretch then drew out to win with something left. BETHLEHEMSTAR improved his position gradually, responded gamely to punishment, but was no match for the winner. GRASSWRACK, a strong contender after half a mile, held on gamely in the drive. CERRO went well under strong riding. GRECIAN KING had no excuse. EVENING GOWN quit. NORTHERN SIR lacked speed. BUSTER B. showed nothing. HER HERO quit. PENCADER was far back throughout.
