TURFMEN DENIED APPEAL WASHINGTON, D. C, April 6. The Su-preme Court today denied the petition of Joseph F. Patterson, Robert Wingfield and Horace Moore for review of their conviction in federal court of violating the Harrison anti-narcotics act by "doping" horses at the Fair Grounds race track in Detroit. Each was sentenced to six months imprisonment. Patterson was fined -,000, Wingfield 50, and Moore 00.
