1 TANF0RAN TURF NOTES Trainer Bob Murray plans to take up the distance mare Enigmatic, which he will train for W. E. Brown of San Francisco. Enigmatic was turned out during the winter. Jockey Mack Winters, former western riding sensation, has been engaged by Chief Hofmes and he will be seen astride racers in the Holmes stable. Winters is staging a comeback, having taken off a few pounds, and will ride at about 110 pounds. He formerly rode for J. D. Spreckels HI. M. C. Goodsell, who checked in with Wooden Soldier and Home Sis, has been granted a trainers license. The horses were rested at San Ysidro during the winter. j i Rosemaid had just finished working three-1 i quarters at Bay Meadows Friday morning i i and decided that wasnt quite enough, so she ran away a mile, jumped the fence and ran back to the stables, stopping directly in front of her stall door. The exercise boy atop her remained in the stirrups, but he was strictly a passenger.
