AURORA OFFERING 0U1NELLA Popular Form of Wagering", Together With "Daily Double," Attractions at Fox Valley Course. AURORA, 111., April 13. The two wagering novelities which have become so popular since their introduction at Aurora four years ago the "Daily Double" and the Quin-ella will again be offered to Chicago racegoers when the Fox Valley Jockey Club opens the Illinois, racing season on May 1 with an eighteen day meeting. The "Double," in which the bettor attempts to select the winner of the second and third races, has been adopted by all of the other Chicago tracks since it proved so successful in its Aurora debut. But the Quinella, in which the trick is to pick the winner and the second horse in the same race, is available at no other local race course. Aurora has in past years been the favorite track of those who follow the "Daily Double"; the fact that horses are being brought together from widely separated sections, with little line upon their comparative speeds, has made some of the longest prices in "Double" history possible there. Best of last years payoffs at Aurora was the combination of Buster B. and Belle Delight, which returned ,894.30 when it won on May 2. The year before there were, two inflated payoffs Monks Bela and Macks Pal returned ,628.14, and Chantesuta and Dispatched paid ,040.64. The new main betting line at Aurora, the longest in America, will have fifteen "Daily Double" windows, in addition to the 113 windows for regular wagering.
