AUTOGRAPH, well up from the start, drew away after disposing of SANDVATO, responded to good urging in the stretch, swerved in the last eighth, but won with something left. STAR CLUSTER improved its position rapidly after reaching the stretch and finished strongly. SANDVATO, hustled into the lead in the first few strides, was unable to draw clear, gave way after a quarter and tired in the drive. ERUPTION closed with a rush. PANSY ANN made up ground. Start good and slow. Won driving; second and third the same. DAINTY JEANNE, suddenly improved and away in a tangle, unable to improve her position early, was forced to lose ground when racing forwardly, responded to strong urging in the stretch and won drawing away. HONORARY came over sharply at the start, forced the pace under strong handling, was inclined to bear in during the final quarter and tired when her rider attempted to keep her straight. PLAYMAY, well up from the start and lucky to escape early interference, finished strongly. ANIMOSITY, outrun for three-eighths, made up ground thereafter. RAMS HEAD finished under strong handling. MARION BURR was never a factor. HASTY ROCK sprinted into a clear lead early, set a good pace, but gave way rapidly during the last eighth. HAZEL EYE was outrun. BOHEMIAN LASS, going in her best form and away slowly, worked her way forward on the outside, Responded fast in the stretch, forged to the front in the last stages and withstood SOMEONE ELSE. The latter, in close quarters early, moved up with a rush when clear, was steered to the outside in the last sixteenth and was wearing down the winner at the end. PRINCE TIDE forced the pace under good urging, wore RETIRED down entering the stretch, but tired rapidly after attaining a big advantage. BRONC RIDER, well up from the start and on the inside, tired in the last eighth. RETIRED, used up in the pace, stopped under pressure. BABY WITT, outrun for a half mile, made up ground thereafter. MAH GRANT, going in best form and away fast, raced MARCIA into submission after a quarter, drew clear rapidly, increased her advantage in the stretch, tired fast in the late stages, outfinished MOLLY GREENOCK and pulled up lame. The latter, away fast, but shuffled back soon afterward, moved up fast after reaching the stretch and just failed to get up. MARCIA took command under hustling tactics, gave way to the winner but held on gamely. FANFERN, in close quarters early, tired in the drive. CRAZY JANE worked her way forward steadily, came to the inside for the drive but tired after offering a mild bid approaching the final eighth. AUNT FLOR quit.
