Bradleys Bow and ■ Arrow left Thursday night for Latonia to J fill his engagement in the 5,000 added Latonia Derby at that Kentucky course Sat-j urday. In his long conditioner Wednesday the Idle Hour three-year-old was timed in 2:15"o. He is trained by William Hurley, and probably will be piloted by Joe Renick in the Latonia stake. Howard Wells, with fifteen owned by How-j ard Oots, C. E. Hamilton, D. B. Midkiff and others, arrived here from Churchill Downs early Thursday. According to a communication received by C. W. Hay, general manager of Hawthorne, J. S. Klein, Chicago turf patron, plans to dispose of his horses. They are Panalong, Stealingaway, Superluck, Judge Blake, Hold- um Brown and Isaiah. The stable Paul Kelly campaigned at Aurora will not participate in the Hawthorne meeting, the owner having arranged to transfer the string to Detroit tomorrow. Z. E. McGregor, with a stable of six headed by Indian Salute, is due at Hawthorne Friday. D. Womeldorf, with the racers of J. Emery, F. G. Haller and Mrs. F. Devine. and W. Buck, with B. B. Johnsons colorbearers, ship into Hawthorne from Aurora Friday. Another smaller stable with headquarters at Sportsmans Park for the Hawthorne meeting is that of J. A. Davis. Another eastern arrival is B. Frank Christmas. He shipped seven here from Pimlico and plans to remain for the entire Chicago major track season. Two members of the Char-Lei Stable, trained by former jockey Bert Kennedy, were unloaded at Hawthorne Wednesday. They were shipped from Churchill Downs, from which point Kennedy sent others in the stable to Latonia. Ernie White, administrator of the mutuel betting department at Hawthorne, plans a roll-call and rehearsal of all clerks Friday morning. All cashier and seller appointments have been made.
