f LAT0NIA TURF NOTES | i _ — | Charles Baldwin, 65-year-old Streator, 111., horseman, who fell dead while grazing a horse at Latonia Wednesday, was the victim of a heart attack. He was stricken just outside barn number 26. Baldwin, who had only one horse, had been ailing for some time, according to friends. Frank Swain, who has Just Buck here for his wife, also will make the riding engagements of his nephew, Charles Swain, young apprentice, who rode his first winner during | the Churchill Downs meeting. The youngster, despite his limited experience, has shown fine promise and his services probably will be in demand during the Latonia meeting.
