BULSTRODE, away fast, took command after five-sixteenths, drew clear rapidly, responded to strong urging in the drive, tired near the end, but withstood CHILNORE. The latter, well up from the start and saved for three-quarters, bore over badly when improving his position and was wearing the winner down at the end. IRISH IMAGE worked his way forward steadily -and closed with a rush. JOBIOSO tired. JOAN MACAW had no mishaps. SAD KNIGHT was forced over on COUNT COTTON in the stretch. The latter, hustled to the front, gave way when challenged, held on well, but was pinched back approaching the final eighth. VALE OF TEARS showed a dull "effort. RAFFLES LAD, hustled along from the start, tired near the end. SURPRISE GIFT made up ground. PHAL JOY quit. MOLLY GREENOCK was done after a half mile. IAGO was outrun. MONEY GETTER, in close quarters throughout, was pinched back in the final eighth, but came again when clear. YULE STAR tired.
