STEWARDS USE DISCRETION Charles F Henry Explains Method of ofPlacing Placing Horses in the Event Eventof of Disqualification SHREVEPORT La Oct 21 It was an ¬ nounced by the stewards of the State Jockey Club today that the rule governing the dis ¬ qualification of horses at the state fair grounds would be the same as that which is in vogue now at River Downs and has been in use at Thistle Down and Detroit DetroitIn In the event of a disqualification the horse disqualified will be placed behind the horse that he impedes and not last place as is the custom at many of the American race courses coursesExplaining Explaining the adoption of this rule pre ¬ siding steward Henry stated that he is con ¬ vinced that this method is fair both to the horseman and the general public An illus ¬ tration made by Henry is that a horse that may be disqualified from first place will I the positions that affect the betting
