BELLEEK IN FATAL MISHAP NEW ORLEANS, La., Dec. 5 Belleek, a scheduled starter in the seventh race Monday afternoon ran away the wrong way .of the track while being paraded to the post, and jumping the fence at the three-quarters gap, ripped himself open and was killed. Apprentice Stanley LaFitte, who was astride the five-year-old bay mare, by Stimulus Plaid escaped without injury. Belleek was withdrawn from the race by the stewards and all bets made on the racer were refunded. Belleek was the property of G. T. Hanna. 4
