NOTRE DAME PLACED FIRST CHAMPAIGN, 111., Dec. 5. Notre Dame today won the national football championship, awarded annually by Prof. Frank G. Dickinson of the University of Illinois. Scored on a point system, which takes into consideration the strength of opponents, Notre Dame outranked both Duke and Tennessee, which were undefeated, the professor announced.
