SOFT COAL OUTPUT SOARS SOARSBituminous Bituminous coal output continued to make alltime highs for the season during the week ended May 24 production being esti ¬ mated by the Department of the Interior at 10470000 net tons This was an increase of 312000 over the preceding week and 2631000 tons greater than in the Jike week of last year Pennsylvania anthracite out ¬ put dipped to 840000 tons off 32000 from the preceding week and 4000 tons less than in the corresponding week of 1940
