FOUR HORSES GO DOWN IN BAD FALL AT AKSARBEN AKSARBENFairy Fairy R Slips and Three Others Go Over Her Camp Breaks Leg LegOMAHA OMAHA Neb June 3 Four horses went down during the running of the first race at AkSarBen field Tuesday afternoon but all horses and all but one rider escaped with but minor injuries The fall came about soon after the start of a fivefurlong dash for Nebraskabreds Fairy R a sixyearold mare racing in a forward position slipped in the muddy going and fell rounding the far turn and Silver San the favorite Silver Banquet a field horse and Wood Mick 1 an outsider fell over her herJockeys Jockeys J C Collins and J Jordan respec ¬ tive riders of Fairy R and Wood Mick jumped to their feet immediately but jockey R Camp rider of Silver Banquet and jockey W Smolinski who was on Silver San re ¬ quired medical attention Although both were conscious they were taken to the hos ¬ pital for observation where it was discovered that Camp had sustained a broken leg The race was won by War Skilful a field horse which came down the middle of the track through the stretch to best Miss Sioux in a driving finish finishi i Another jockey was slightly injured before the start of the second race when C Bianco jWas thrown from Imperial Nick while tho field was en route to the post Bianco ap ¬ parently suffered a leg injury and was car ried to the ambulance Imperial Nick a field horse ran away about one and onehalf miles before being captured and was ordered withdrawn by the stewards Another field horse Try Hard wheeled at the start of the race and unseated his rider F Weida man
