WHIRLAWAYS NOMINATION NOMINATIONCRETE CRETE 111 June 17 The possibility that Calumet Farms great threeyear old Whirlaway may be pointed for the 10000 added Stars and Stripes Handi ¬ cap at Arlington Park on the Fourth of July loomed today with the announce ¬ ment that the son of Blenheim II J Dustwhirl has been nominated for that mile and an eighth feature and word from the East that the colt will leave there on Sunday for Chicago In an ¬ nouncing the receipt of Whirlaways nomination for the Stars and Stripes the Arlington Park management expressed itself as being very much pleased that Warren Wright had decided to name his crack colt for the outstanding handicap event of the program at that track Whirlaway is slated to start in Satur ¬ days Dwyer at Aqueduct but will be put on a train for Chicago Sunday morning The remainder of the nominations for the Stars and Stripes Handicap will be released at a later date
