ANNUAL MEETING OF GANSETT STOCKHOLDERS HELD ATTRACK ATTRACKVote Vote in Favor of Amendment to Increase Number of Directors DirectorsPAWTUCKET PAWTUCKET R I June 17 The annual meeting of the stockholders of Narragansett Racing Association Inc was held in the Terrace Club at the track Monday MondayIn In one and onehalf hours all the current officers and three directors whose terms had expired were reelected in the presence of only a few stockholders other than those directly connected with the management The proxy inspectors presented proxies rep ¬ resenting 260857 shares of stock There are 350000 outstanding All the stock presented was voted for the reelection of officers and directors and 249852 shares were voted in favor of an amendment which increased the number of directors from nine to ten The new director elected was Francis J ODonnell of Needham Mass He is trea ¬ surer and a director of the Joseph M Her ¬ man Shoe Company of Mitlis Mass and is owner of 6000 shares of Narragansett stock stockThe The following officers were reelected President James E Dooley chairman of the board of directors James H Connors vicepresident Albert H Daly treasurer Ernest H Davison assistant treasurer and comptroller Michael J Regan and secre ¬ tary and general counsel Raymond J Mc Mahon The directors reelected are Albert H Daly John J Orr and John F Letendre LetendreImmediately Immediately after the stockholders meet ¬ ing the directors held a regular session at which routine business was transacted
