BOSTON CAP saved ground while iniproing his position to the stretch, came willingly when roused for the drive and wore down COUNT BILL in the closing strides. The latter reached the lead when settled for the stretch run, but swerved nearing the finish and could not withstand the winner. AGRONOMIST came to the outside entering the strech and closed determinedly under urging. MUREX lacked early speed, but finished fast. SINGULAR tired after showing early speed. STAR WILLOW was outrun. ROCK WOOD DAISY, badly outrun to he upper turn, came around horses entering the stretch and, after disposing of FOUR QUEENS, drew out to win with something left. HOME FRONT, never far back, finished willingly under punishment, but was no match for the winner. FOUR QUEENS assumed command at once, made the pace to the final eighth, then faltered. HIGH EAST tailed to respond w!:en roused for the drive. FANCIFUL never was dangerous TWO DOWN could not keep up. RITA ROYAL had brief early speed. BETTYS BOB, reserved to the Stretch, came to the middle of the track for the drive and, responding to urging, disposed of P4TROL PILOT in the last sixteenth mile. PATROL PILOT shook off JACK RUBENS on the final turn and continued gamely but was not good enough for the winner. S. S. GRIER, slow to begin and outrun to the stretch, came to the inside thereafter and closed stoutly in a good effort. MADIGAMA could not keep up when routed for the drive. BOOM ON never was dangerous and had no excuses. JACK RUBENS made the pace fo the stretch under occasional urging, but gave way badly when set down for the drive. Claimed — Boom On by V. L. Creal. HELP WANTED gave way after racing prominently to midway of the stretch. JACK VENNIE neer was dangerous, giving a dull effort. PILATES MISS tired after raring forwardly placed to the stretch.
