Acquire Site for New Pascoag Park Track BIRRILLVILLE, R. I., June 29— B. A. Dario, treasurer and operating head of Pascoag Park, this morning announced the completion of the purchase of 156 acres of land for the erection of a new track as originally announced last winter. Dario said 2,500 was paid for the land, which is more centrally located than the present Pascoag track. It is about five miles from Providence. Construction of the new racing plant will start, Dario said, as soon as building materials are available. He plans a three-quarter mile track with steel and cement grandstand and other modern buildings. The Pascoag management now hopes to have the new track ready for operation in the fall of 1946. The present Pascoag Park will be given up as a running race site when the new track is ready.
