Sea Swallow to Start In Yankee Handicap Hedron Also Addition to Field For 5,000 Fixture on July 4 EAST BOSTON, Mass., June 29. — The probable field for next Wednesdays 5,000 Yankee Handicap at Suffolk Downs has been swelled by the addition of two more certain starters in the mile and three-sixteenths stake. Latest to accept the handicapping of Charles J. McLennans weights are C. S. Howards Sea Swallow and Mill River Stables Hedron. Both are being shipped from New York for their Independence Day engagements. Sea Swallow is following in the footsteps of his illustrious sire, Seabiscuit, who came to Suffolk Downs early in his career to win the Massachusetts Handicap. The brown colt has already captured three stakes, including the Tijuana Derby. Shipped east, Sea Swallow has not been too successful in his quest of the big three-year-old stakes, finishing seventh in the Kentucky Derby, sixth in the Preakness and fifth in the Belmont Stakes. In tht latter he ran second most of the way, indicating that the mile and three-sixteenth» of the Yankee will bt more to his liking. Hedron is a real dark horse in the field, with a maiden win his only score of last year. Emerging from winter quarters this season, he finished fourth in his only start, but recent trials have been so keen that trainer Harry Brown is determined to send him postward on July 4. The addition of this pair of three-year-old brings the probable starting line-up to nine. Others who are expected to start in Wednesdays event are: Darby Dieppe, 122 Beldine, 114; Michaelo, 112; Jims Boy, 110; Pindus, 110; Hammer-Lock, 106, and Poco Mas, 104.
