Holmans First Winner OMAHA, Neb., June 29.— Apprentice jockey Keith Holman graduated from the list of maiden riders yesterday afternoon when astride the winner of the featured race, J. Arps Big Sub. The young rider was victorious in spectacular fashion, engaging in a stretch duel with apprentice J. Dean Jessop, astride Courtaway, and just nosing out the latter on the wire. Holman is a product of Colorado Springs, Colo., is 17 years old and rides at 105 pounds. K. D. Keppler is his contract owner.
