Senators to Abandon Video WASHINGTON, D. C, May 6— UP.— Clark Griffith, 80-year-old president of the Washington Senators, said today he will abandon television next year and will lead the fight to have it eliminated entirely by the major leagues. "My principal reason is that I think its hurting the minor leagues," Griffith explained. "So far, it hasnt affected my club too much but its bound to decrease attendance in many areas."
