Kilroe Joins Executive Board at Santa Anita Park ARCADIA, Calif., May 6.— In addition to Santa Anitas official racing family, Frank E. Kilroe, associated with New York racing in various important capacities for 14 years and at Arlington and Washington Parks for the last two seasons, has been engaged to serve at the Arcadia track this coming winter. Executive vice-president Dr. Charles H. Strub made the arrangements in the East before sailing to Europe for an extended trip. The position to be assigned to the new, comparatively young official at Santa Anita will not be known until the full list of officials is completed and approved by the California Horse Racing Board before the opening of the meet. The widely-known Jimmy Kilroe will come to California with an outstanding background of experience and connections. A graduate of Columbia University, he is a member of a prominent New York racing family. His father. Dr. Edward P. Kilroe, is chairman of the board and past president of the Metropolitan Jockey Club, operating Jamaica for 30 years. His brother, Edward L. Kilroe, is general manager and secretary of the Aqueduct race course.
