WAR TORO, quickest to begin, was In hand until the far turn, assumed command when roused, drew clear and was being eased at the end. SHINING DEED rushed boldly on the outside, came over slightly on the far turn, drew in closest attendance of. the pace, but was not good enough. FIESTA. raced forwardly between horses, gained a slight advantage in the first quarter mile, then held on well after giving way. OVERPOWER worked his way up along the inside to close ground. TORPEDERO was forced to lose ground on the outside. GILDSIE was in close quarters most of the trip. BIG AND BETTER weakened after brief speed. CLAIRE DAUBER was rushed up between horses to reach the leaders before a quarter mile, then tired. GAY DATE dropped back soon after the start and showed nothing. ESTA VEZ showed nothing. KING WILSON broke alertly, raced true on turns, responded to pressure in the stretch to dispose of SELTZER and had enough left to hold FAIR iGAME safe. The latter was sluggish leaving the gate, moved to the inside entering the stretch and closed stoutly. SELTZER gained command before a quarter mile, showed good speed for half a mile, then weakened. ATT. GENERAL had no mishap. I TRUST went evenly. TRUCHA lacked early speed. APT REWARD tired. DR. SICOMO broke sluggishly, was under a drive early and raced very wide on the turns. IRISH WASH, never far off the pace, challenged the leader on the final turn, but was not good enough. MR. FOX made up ground while racing on the outside. RACSO forced the pace, but tired in the final furlong. JOBIE had no mishap. MISS OBEHAN flattened out after being caught in close quarters on the far tum. SKY BLONDE was outrun. HE COULD WENT LAME IN THE POST PARADE AND WAS ORDERED SCRATCHED, ALL MONIES WAGERED ON HIM BEING REFUNDED. BATED BREATH drew close to the leader after a half mile, was unable to gain command, I dropped back, then came again in the final yards. DOREENS BOY moved to the inside for the drive, drew close to the leader, then faltered. LITTLE CAPTAIN, forwardly placed along the inside, was caught in close quarters, was taken up, then moved readily to the final furlong and tired. BILLMAN had no mishap. HYGROS WONDER raced evenly. HARBOURTON outran the field to take an early lead, was in hand while clear and, skirting the rail going to the far turn, held on stoutly when challenged, gave way on the final turn, came again under pressure and outfinished THWARTED. The latter was steadied close to the pace, made his move after six furlongs, disposed of CACOMO, but was unable to hold the winner safe. MUCHO MAS worked his way up on the outside to finish willingly. CACOMO tired after six furlongs. DOLE passed tiring horses. FALSE FRONT was unable to keep up. SEPTEMBER was through early. DOMINAVE engaged HY DIAMOND in the opening quarter of a mile, drew clear on the far tum, turned back challenges on the final bend, but was unable to stay with the winner. HY DIAMOND dropped back along the inside after losing command, came to the outside to move on the leader, then tired. ETERNAL ROAD was unable to make up appreciable ground. DE LUXE had no mishap.
