Booker Racers to Ohio LINCOLN DOWNS, Lincoln, R. I., May 6. — G. Y. Booker, owner and trainer of one of the better stables at this point, will leave here for a summer campaign on the Ohio tracks. Lawless Miss, the star of the outfit, will attempt to retain her crown as the best sprinter in the Buckeye State, a title she earned in both 1948 and 1949. The Galla-hadion mare has now won 33 purses and has earned 5,000. -Her understudy in the eight-horse Booker string will be the sophomore filly named Mad Hare, an allowance class winner at two and three. The Virginia sportsman will take in the meeting at Randall Park, which opens on July 28 and continues through mid-September before returning to Lincoln Downs for the fall meeting.
