KAY DOODY was not hurried early and improved her position steadily after a half mile, responded readily when roused to move around the outside in the stretch and was drawing away under pressure. EXCELSIS was sent to the front at once and, rated there, drew out in the stretch, meeting the bid of the winner willingly. CATSME0W lacked early speed, then closed very fast. BILL ROSS, slow to find his best stride, was going well at the end. JETSAM weakened after making a strong bid on the final turn. DOMINION raced forwardly, but weakened after making a strong bid in the stretch. FLETTER could not keep up. Scratched— 32629 Festival II., 110. Fletter claimed by Arph Stable.
