► Primer Stakes to Close For Nominations Tonight ARLINGTON PARK. Arlington Heights, 111., June 29. — Nominations for the 5,000 Primer Stakes for two-year-olds, Wednesday, July 11, at Arlington Park, close at midnight tomorrow Saturday, racing secretary Frank E. "Jimmy" Kilroe announced. The Primer is run at five and one-half furlongs. Kilroe also advised horsemen that Saturday, July 7, is the deadline for supplementary entries for the 00,000-guaranteed - the - winner Arlington Handicap, scheduled for July 26. The supplementary fee is ,500. Second place in the Arlington Handicap will be worth 5,000; 2,500 to third place, and ,250 for fourth.
