Happy Bound in Front-Running 1 Triumph Over Dannas Pensive SUFFOLK DOWNS, East Boston, Mass., June 29. — O. L. Fosters homebred Happy Bound, scored a front running triumph over O Sole Mio Stables Dannas Pensive in the featured Hyannis Purse before a • crowd of 9,182 at Suffolk Downs today. The Through Bound colt opened a comfortable lead at the beginning of the six-furlongs dash but had to be roused near J the end to stave off the bid of the challenger which fell short by a neck. Four lengths back of the dueling pair, Haughton and Browns Sam H., took the minor award by a neck over G. Colellas Queens Taste. Heavily backed in the mutuel play to rate second in the wagering to Dannas Pensive, the winner paid .00 and was j timed in acceptable time of 1:11% over • the fast racing strip. Apprentice James j Davern, the successful rider was completing a double, having won the opener astride Fighting Comet.
