ELLEN DEAS was a sharp factor from the start, threatened boldly between horses but was not good enough. BROWN DALTON, in good position under rating, moved up to be on nearly even terms for command in the stretch and was not good enough. KNIGHT-AT-ARMS faltered nearing the end after making the pace. ROYAL CASTLE came out of the race lame. THE PHOENIX tired. FREEDOM WINS saved ground and had no excuse. FANBOROUGH lost his rider a stride after the start.
