AMEN improved position steadily on the outside, caught good footing in the middle of the track nad was drawing clear at the end. LIEUTENANT was kept wide from the start, responded in the final quarter mile and closed with good energy. GAY was hard hustled to an early lead, dominated to the furlong pole and began weakening. SUNSHADE rushed through along the inside, but lacked a late rally. TIME ROLL forced the pace to the final furlong before tiring. GAVILAN had no mishap. GOOD EGG was unable to keep up. DOBY showed nothing. HIGHEST STAR, in hand and guided to better footing throughout, moved readily after six furlongs, reached command leaving the furlong pole and drew out under intermittent urging. HESPERUS, in hand and following close behind the winner, moved inside through the stretch, But was not good enough. MIRIAMS BOY rallied mildly in the late stages. EASY CHOP forced the pace, but weakened in the late stages. SIR WHITE tired after a mile. JEEP SUPPLY caught tiring horses. OMAR BOY was sent to the inside on the far turn, bogged down and showed nothing thereafter. LORD PATHMATE as unable to keep up. OCEAN PLAY quit. RATON was outdistanced. FLYING FLEET assumed command at once, increased advantage on the turns, swerved to the inside, was quickly straightened and prevailed over FREEDOM PARLEY. The latter was moving to the leaders along-the rail when he collided with the rail, bounced out, was straightened quickly and was pressing at the end. CHANCE SNOW was best of the others. MICKEY FOSTER was unable to keep up. EQUIDOE had no mishap. IM FRED flashed brief speed. DUCHESS AUMAR was outrun. GALA FLEET tarried at the start and was never a factor. GAME DAL had speed from the start and was on even terms with the leader when impeded, then continued on gamely. WARRENS GRAY saved ground along the inside to threaten the leaders near the end. ANDYS PRIDE, shuffled back early, was unable to reach serious contention. SUN HALO had no mishap. BANK DRIVE raced wide. SWEET VINCENT was unable to keep up. PROMISING was through early. BUSY SIGNAL had to be hustled to get through along the inside and take command before a quarter mile, remained close up after giving way, but lacked a late rally. TIPPY DO, in a good position, failed to menace. GOYONDER, slow to settle into best stride, made up ground through the stretch. ZENAS ZEPHER was unable to keep up. INLET MISS had no mishap. SPATS, in hand while close to the pace down the backstretch, was eased to the outside on the turn, lost ground and appeared to hang momentarily, then rallied to reach the leader in the final stride. EXEMPLAR assumed the lead before a quarter mile, increased his advantage into the stretch and just missed. LIBERTY RAB, under stout restraint and saving grotind along the inside, held on tenaciously. MESTIZA forced the pace going out slightly-wide on the final turn and was unable to regain lost ground when roused. BLENTIGO was going well at the end. VISIONAL saved ground to no avail. MY DREAM MARIE, in hand within striking distance of the leader; challenged after six furlongs, gained command, but was no match for the winner. HATTIES GIFT went evenly.
