GOLDEN REIGH, well ridden, steadily improved position during the first half mile, assumed command after entering the stretch and drew clear, winning with something left. TINTINA was hustled to the front early, made the pace to the stretch but was unable to withstand the top one. MOTHER MORRIS engaged TINTINA to the stretch but faltered when set down in the drive. ALL IS ON gave a fair effort and had no mishap. PRO TANTO lacked early foot and was never dangerous. DO NQU EST could not keep up. SHERIFF HILL raced wide. TOMATO was through early. IMPELLER was never prominent. AL HASH, on the outside throughout, could not enter serious contention. CHIEF JOHN O. began alertly but dropped far back immediately after the start. RIP TIDE, never far back, but on the outside, responded to mild urging during the stretch run and, after disposing of JEAN THE JOKER, won going away. JEAN THE JOKER began fast, made the pace until inside the stretch, but could not. hold the winner. MYSTERY MAN raced evenly to the stretch, but could not reach the leaders when set down in the drive. PAJARA lacked early speed, but finished fast when sent to the inside for the stretch run. FAST BREAK was outrun. NIFTY tired after engaging JEAN THE JOKER to the stretch. BAROLO failed to stay when set down in the drive. NEVER IN DOUBT was outrun. PRISSY BOY had early speed. DOLLYS ROCKET, away slowly, moved up fast on the outside entering the stretch and, responding to a steady hand ride, wore down the leaders to win going away. SILENCE went to the front soon after the start, made the pace until inside the stretch under pressure from CONNIE-JO, raced the latter into defeat, but was unable to withstand the winner. MIBELAIRE, next to the inner rail from the start, made a good bid in the stretch, but could not overtake the leaders. SOME BOSS gave a good effort and had no mishap. MR. SKEETER tired during the drive. WISE HOOP had a rough trip. RANQUEL1TA failed to stay after racing forwardly placed to the stretch. CONNIE-JO engaged SILENCE to the last eighth, then gave way. WILKS LOSS steadily worked way forward and finished strongly in a good effort. LETS THINK, on the outside from the outset, closed willingly under punishment. JET LIZZIE lacked early speed, but made up ground during the drive. GLORIA JEAN assumed an early lead, made the pace to the final furlong, but gave way when challenged by ALIE-ED. O SPEEDY GOLD could not keep up. SHASTA L..was outrun. BUTCHS PRIDE was through early. WINNING, rank during the post parade and at the post, showed nothing in the running. PLASTIC MISS unseated her rider p during the post parade and galloped off a slow quarter mile, was remounted and gave a dull performance. ~ LADY JANE D. raced greenly and was never a serious contender.
