TROIA was saved to the stretch turn, then cut to the inside when the early leaders bore out and, taking command as if much the best, drew out to win with ease. INJECTOR was always well up and finished with good courage. OUR JAN followed HONEST AL closely in the early part and, although bearing out on the stretch turn, got to the front between calls, but swerved and weakened in the last eighth. FLASHY MANNER made a fair move nearing the last urlong, then weakened. HONEST AL tired. ROVING KIND was badly outrun. Scratched— 58385 Obtain, 119; 58501 Sams Bride, 114. SLINGER, although outrun in the first part, was allowed to go along steadily coming to the outside in the stretch, improved his position in the middle of the track to be up to catch JIMMYS DOLL in the final strides. JIMMYS DOLL was in rather tight quarters while racing on the inside early, but found an opening in the stretch to come through and take command, going well to the end. SYNDICATE improved his position in the stretch. LADY TOY headed the field after turning for home, then weakened. DELHANNAH also tired. WEEP NO MORE was close enough early, but weakened. BUT WHY was outrun early, then moved strongly on the outside entering the stretch to finish very fast and get up to win in the final strides. PARTICIPATION was in rather tight quarters early, then saved ground in the stretch, but v/as again in close quarters on the inside of SONG OF ITALY, but went gamely to the end and barely missed. SON OF ITALY had the most early speed and showed an inclination to lug in during the stretch run, but held on well and was beaten but narrowly. ROSY GREEK and MARCH LASSIE made up some ground. BLENRIAM headed and drew away from the field around the far turn to open up nearing the stretch turn and easily lengthening his advantage in the stretch, won with something in reserve. ASHES moved up fast nearing the stretch turn, although racing wide and closed well to best the others. FAST BUCK was fairly well up all the way, but was not a serious threat. SIDS PRIDE weakened near the end. SHOW RING dashed into contention early, but faltered in the stretch. BURNT LOOK was outpaced. WORCESTER was held under restraint while racing close to the pace of MARLIN for the first half mile, then went to the front when ready and was never fully extended. NUGGET GOLD made a courageous run at WORCESTER nearing the stretch turn and responded to continued urging in the stretch but was not good enough. MIDYETTE went evenly to hold MISS BLACK. HAPPY EAST saved ground while racing within striking distance of the leaders and found an opening on the inside nearing the far turn to become dangerous, then came to the outside of the pacemakers in the stretch to get to the front and win under hand riding. BASHFUL SUN set the pace, shook off BEST DOINGS and, saving ground in the stretch, went gamely to the end to hold BREZNO. The latter moved up on the outside in the stretch and finished well. * KANZA closed ground. BEST DOINGS ,was under restraint following the pace, but displayed little when called upon. TROPIC RAIDER dropped back during the backstretch run, then came to the outside on the stretch turn to finish with good courage in the middle of the track and get up to win in the closing strides. SABSON moved to the front of BOLD KNOT on the stretch turn, tut was unable, to shake off the latter and weakened near the end. BOLD KNOT was sent to the front early, battled determinedly after being headed and held on to be close up at the end. REBEL RAIDER had a rather rough trip and was unable to find sufficient racing room in the stretch while racing strongly. ROY O. had no excuse. STRADA raced very wide in the stretch. EVENING STORY was outpaced early and went wide on the stretch turn, but finished fast under hard urging.
