Grand One Seen Favorite In C ran wood Park Sprint SprintRaced Raced Well at Ascot Park Meet Second Sight Dangerous Rival RivalCRANWOOD CRANWOOD PARK WarrensyiUe Heights Ohio June 8 An excellent nine race prpgram will be presented here tomor ¬ rowafternoon The feature will be known as the Estabula Purse and will be at six furlongs An evenly matched band of eight middle distance runners has been entered overnight to contest the issue In addition to the feature the WGAR Purse at a mile and onesixteenth will serve as an interest ¬ ing secondary feature The following thoroughbreds are sched ¬ uled to face starter Bill Schamerhorn in the Estabula Gay Larkspur Second Sight As Ordered Ball the Jack Brass Hat Ging ¬ ham Master Harold and Grand One rounds put the field fieldGrand Grand One who is trained by one of the leading conditioners in this area Roy Her ¬ ring may go postward as a lukewarm choice in the feature Grand One can us ¬ ually be counted on for a good performance and had considerable success at Ascot Park In his last race over that track he wound up third beaten a neck by Cockpit and Winter Lad for all the money He won at Ascot on May 22 when at seven furlongs he led throughout winding up five lengths in front of Cruel Sea He will probably be ridden by Norman Hart HartSecond Second Sight has always been an honest campaigner and is well suited at this par ¬ ticular distance The Beavers colorbearer will be making her first start in the Cleve ¬ land area this year and should take a liking to the Cranwood strip stripMost Most of the others entered have won at Ascot Park with Brass Hat and Ball the Jack looking particularly good The secondary feature has drawn a small but select field of five fouryearolds and older going a route of ground The race has attracted Glorys Chance Excel Zunis Dear Moose and Pink Gin GinAll All but Excel are newcomers in Ohio this summer and that ones chances appear slim here Zunis is a capable performer and he may find his most stubborn opposition stemming f rom O I Beavers Dear Moose
