NASRC Committee Report ReportInformation Information InformationJ J William Graham Maryland chair ¬ man Lawrence J Lane Massachusetts Charles J Sheehan New Jersey A W Weirzman Washington Ted Daughters South Dakota and Clement A Nance Illinois The aim of the Information Committee is chiefly in connection with the improve ¬ ment of the NASRC Bulletin The work of Mrs A E Smith the Secre ¬ tary can in no way be criticized She has done an excellent job of distributing the information afforded to her However there is much more room for improvement in the manner in which the Commissions present their information to Mrs Smith for the Bulletins BulletinsThe The Information Committee submits the following suggestions regarding the bulle ¬ tin for the consideration of this Conven ¬ tion 1 Several states are still submitting rulings for the bulletins giving only initials instead of the given name nameALL ALL RULINGS FOR THE BULLETIN SHOULD CONTAIN THE FULL NAME OF THE PARTY OR PARTIES INVOLVED AND ALSO SHOULD LIST HIS OR THEIR RACING OCCUPATION 2 All notices of reinstatements or cor ¬ rections or modifications should be sent in They are very important 3 A copy of any revisions of racing rules should be sent in to the NASRC Sec ¬ retary for publication as soon as possible possibleClaims Claims Weekly 4 Claims should be submitted weekly 5 On a ruling of thirty days or more the full name address and age should be given 6 RULINGS SHOULD DEFINE SPE ¬ CIFICALLY THE OFFENSE FOR WHICH THE RULING IS MADE RATHER THAN A GENERAL OVERALL STATEMENT OF DETRIMENTAL TO THE BEST IN ¬ TEREST OF RACING 7 Reports of the rulings of the Stew ¬ ards and of the Racing Commissions should be submitted to the NASRC Secretary the day following the ruling or as soon there ¬ after as possible 8 Several States have submitted Stew ¬ ards rulings for ttthev ttthevujletjns ujletjns apd have failed to follow them up with the Commis ¬ sions rulings rulingsCare Care should be taken to determine in the case of any action by a racing Com ¬ mission on a ruling by the Stewards that notice of the ruling of the Stewards was submitted 9 All copies of changes of rules and all copies of rulings violations and Commis ¬ sion orders should be typewritten and only the clear copies submitted 10 In the future an effort should be oaade to have all Commission orders and ack rulings covering only one person personThe The Committee feels sure that if the various Commissions would follow the sug ¬ gestions outlined it would be very helpful to MTJS Smith the NASRC Secretary in her tremendous task of compiling the bulletins and the bulletins in turn would be of much more value to the Commissions for their permanent records v
