British Donating Three Autos for Belmont Ball BallProceeds Proceeds of Annual Event to Go To New York Heart Association AssociationBELMONT BELMONT PARK Elmont N Y June 8 The good ladies sponsoring the annual Belmont Ball which this year will devote its proceeds to the New York Heart Asso ¬ ciation announced today that the British Motor Industry has reversed the customary lend lease procedure by donating three automobiles and a toy car Contributors of one dollar to the Heart Fund will be eligible to win a Jaguar Morris Minor Austin or Toy Austin with the winners being announced at the ball which will be held at the Turf and Field Club on the eve of the Belmont Stakes next Friday even ing ingBefore Before being shipped to the United States the three British cars were official ¬ ly presented to Ambassador Winthrop Al drich while Mayor Vincent B Impelleteri accepted the Coronation gift cars on behalf of the people of New York in ceremonies at City Hall May 25 25To To further aid the Heart Fund Drive a bronze of last years Belmont Stakes win ¬ ner One Count executed by Mrs June Harrah Lord will be auctioned at the ball Mrs Lord is making an annual practice of I donating her excellent bronzes of Belmont winners to this worthy cause causeA A horseshoe from this years winner also will be auctioned vand it will be recalled that two years ago C V Whitney was the top bidder for one of these mementoes He was happy to learn the following afternoon that he had paid 1600 for a plate worn by his own Counterpoint CounterpointThe The Belmont Ball is becoming one of the major social events of the late spring on Long Island with the elite of the turf dip ¬ lomatic business and financial worlds making revelry to Meyer Davis music until workout time Saturday morning The Turf and Field Club and the adjoining tent will be a bower of loveliness this year with Mrs Henry Parish supervising the decor with flowers by Wadley and Smythe And in addition to the bronze of One Count such items as champagne cognac jewels and accessories contributed by Renfield Importers Park and Tilford Hattie Car ¬ negie David Webb and Marc Sevastopoulo will be auctioned
