Perfect Sweep Hi Ante Clash at Fairmdunt Park ParkAmong Among Seven Fast Routers Going In Tonights Kankakee Purse PurseBy By LjWDEMANStaff C A LjWDEMAN Staff Correspondent FAIRMOUNT PARK Collinsville HI June 9 Distance runners will hold the spotlight tomorrow night when seven very fast routers meet to decide the issue in the sixth event a mile and onesixteenth afr fair named the Kankakee Purse for an 1800 purse This small field of route run ¬ ners is packed with tough competition and has all the promise of being one of the best distance races thus far carded Jiere at the Cpllinsville trafck The partners J H Hejna will serid their stout router Perfect Sweep in the Kankakee to try for his first victory here this meeting meetingPerfect Perfect Sweep has made only one other start this season over the Pairmbunt Park track and although he was just a bit short he turned in a top effort only being beaten off by threequarters of a length by Fleetridge at a mile and onesixteenth The son of Sweeping Light had the lead when they turned for home but just wasnt good enough in the final drive to stall off Fleetridge Going back to his recent races at the Sportsmans Park course in Chi ¬ cagoPerfect Sweep looms as the logical favorite over this small band of distance runners He won an allowance affair at the Chicago oval and his other winning race was the early part of February when he beat a field of sprinters over a heavy track at Oaklawn Park Apprentice K Griffith who holds the lead over the riders here will handle the reins on the Hejna router routerBill Bill Terry Jr will be sending out his hardhitting Hi Ante for his second victory in a row when he competes in the mid ¬ week feature Hi Ante won his last outing here on June 3 by defeating Locarno and Cortina by a threequarter length margin at a mile and onesixteenth going the dis ¬ tance in 144 This is by far his best race here and with the way he is improv ¬ ing each time he races he should be in there giving a top performance Palmer Domenico will be up on Hi Ante
