Cite Rules Regulations Of HBPA Absentee Ballot BallotHAWTHORNE HAWTHORNE Cicero 111 June 9 L H Thompson vicepresident of the Central division Horsemens Benevolent and Pro ¬ tective Association in a statement said he would like to call the attention of all HBPA members in the Central division of that organization to the new rules and regula ¬ tions governing eligibility to vote and use of the absentee ballot ballotTherule Therule as cited by Thompson follows The divisional vicepresident and mem ¬ bers of the divisional committees shall be elected every year by ballot of the members of the HBPA in good standing each of whom must be legally licensed and have horses stabled within the territory limits of the division at the time of the election Each member shall cast his own ballot ex ¬ cept that any member fully qualified to vote who cannot personally be present may request the vicepresident of the division to mail him an absentee ballot which he may vote under the following conditions The said ballot shall be signed before a notary public by the member arid returned in a sealed envelope to the secretarytreas ¬ urer of the division The secretarytreas ¬ urer shall deposit same in the ballot box unopened and the vote so cast shall be counted by the election committee
