WINGHELDS LUCKY DAY TAKES GOOD RACES WITH SCARLET OAKS AND STAR SHOOTER AT TIJUANA. i Jockey Roscoo Troxler an Arrival at the Track and Burlingame Coming Mctcalf Set Down for Rough Riding More Horses Arrive. Tijuana, Mex., December 12. George W. Wing-field saw two of his horses, Star Shooter and Scarlet Oaks, win the feature races of the day. The latter had little trouble in winning, leading all the way by a comfortable margin, but Star Shooters victory came in the nature of a fluke, Kedland and Deliver, the choices of the race, being left standing at the post. They did much fast early running to even get close, and their contention at the linish gave one the impression that either would have won with a lie tier send-off. As it was, Star Shooter came fast at the finish to outstay the rush of Dorothy Dean. Itoscoe Troxler, the crack rider, was an arrival here today. Jockey C. Burlingame sent word that lie is coming to Tijuana. Jockey Metcalf was set down for five days for his ride on Hawthorn last Sunday, which forced him to cut across in front of the others after coming wide into the stretch. The string of W. T. Anderson arrived here this morning. In the car were two owned by S. II. Velie. Six other horses from Oklahoma also got in.
