VI 0. DIES AT CITY PARK. New Orleans, La., January 27. VI O., the three-year-old filly by Onondaga Viola, in the stable of E. R. Bradley, dropped dead on the track at City Park this morning after being worked a half-mile in :51. VI O. had an interesting history. As a yearling she showed up so poorly that sfce was discarded by Robert Tucker, trainer for the late Captain S. S. Brown, and was sold to "Georgetown" Johnson, a colored trainer at Lexington for a pittance. In the early spring at Lexington she developed sensational speed and won tbrae straight races. Mr. Bradley purchased her at Louisville for ,000, but she was never the success that he expected. She started nineteen times and won five races, one of them for Mr. Bradley at Saratoga. She had been sick ever since the Bennlngs fall meeting.
