NASHVILLE STAKES ARE ANNOUNCED. Nashville, Tenn., February 22. The Tennessee Breeders Association will continue to foster racing In Nashville. The use of Cumberland Park has been granted the old organization by the State Fair Association and the dates, April 11 to April 21, have been accepted. At todays meeting Irby Bennett was chosen president to succeed May Overton and J. W. Russwurm was elected secretary and treasurer. The stake program, entries to which will close March 8, is as follows: The Cumberland Derby, ,000 added, for three-year-olds; 1 1-8 miles. The Citizens Handicap, ,000 added, for three-year-olds and over; 1 1-10 miles. The Gerst Selling Stakes, ,000 added, for three-year-olds and over; 1 mile. The Avondale Stakes, ,000 added, for two-year-olds; 4 1-2 furlongs. The Belle Meade Stakes, ,000 added, for two-yoar-olds; 1-2 mile. The new organization Is a strong one. All Tennessee breeders are or will be members. The executive committee is composed of Messrs. L. C. Garra-braut, E. S. Gardner and George Holle.
