Water Mirror was rushed Into a long lead in the first quarter from a bad beginning and always held the others safe, winning as his rider pleased. Sneer ran well, stayed better than usual and finished gamely. Tomochichi, badly ridden, was held in reserve until the race was nearly over and finished fast. I. Rudy got away running and, having a couple ot lengths advantage at the start, opened a big gap in the first quarter, fought it out hard in the stretch with Miss Strome and llelgesen outrode Radtke at the end. Miss Strome was best, but was away poorly and made much use of in the early stages to get to the leaders and was given a weak ride at the end. Mimics Daughter, also off poorly, saved ground when turning into the stretch, but was sharply impeded by Rudy when she was going fast and forced-back and might have won biit for interference. Cutter showed decided improvement in the better going. Hashed into a long lead from the start and held Red Leaf safe at, all stages, although tiring a bit near the end. Red Leaf did the best she could and ran a good, consistent race. Jack Young had 110 mishaps and ran a good race. Taby Tosa tired after going three-quarters. Mafalda, well ridden and away in a forward position, showed much the most speed and, although tiring near the end, won with plenty in reserve. Mayor Johnson swung extremely wide into the stretch and finished going fast. Loricate was pinched off at the start and suffered from interference during the early stages, but came fast when clear and would have given a stout argument with better racing luck. Mechant. showing steady improvement, ran as if best and quickly ran into a long lead, which he increased with every stride, winning eased to a canter. Elksino broke well in motion and also showed improved form and gamencss. Jardiniere went wide for the entire trip and tired near the end. Jerry Sharp ran a good race and finished with a rush. The Bear acted badly and ran a furlong at top speed before the start. Madonna was practically left, has worked well and is worth remembering. Scratched iQ5U23Mary Welch. 102; Cora King. 110. Dave Sommers, with skillful handling, ran to his best form and spreadeagled the others after going three-quarters, nilee ran below his best form and had to do his best to save second place. Viperine seemingly sulked for the first half, then came on fast, but tired a trifle near the end. Dave Stahl had no mishaps. Bandillo showed speed, but was raced into exhaustion in an effort to keep pace with Dave Sommers. Scratched C002S Tristan Shandy, 110.
