Roue quickly ran into the lead and, showing superior speed throughout, never left the result in doubt. Triple Silver was practically left at the post and had to go on the outside, but closed a big gap and finished gamely. Globe Runner also got the worst of the start, but ran a good race and finished gaining fast on the leaders. Dan McKenna ran well to the stretch and tired. Enverite suffered from the start. Flaviguy was rated along until on the far turn and then overhauled and passed the leaders with surprising sieed and won going away. J. C. Clem was a prominent contender throughout and easily saved second place. Bitter Brown finished fast and outgamed Last Cherrv for third place. Last Cherry showed early speed, but tired in the stretch. Louis Kraft was under restraint for a mile and a half and closed tip fast in the last half, but tired when called on for the final effort. Nones ran a good ndle and three-quarters, but tired in the last quarter. Colonist was lame when going to the post. Paul went to his best form anO so did Hickory Corners. Eemay followed Frank Lord closely to the stretch and, at the end of a gamely contested drive through the last furlong, won in the final stride. Frank Lord put up a fine performance, finished fast and resolutely and barely failed to win. Judge Davey ran a good, game nice anil outstayed Black Mate for third place. The latter finished fast and was crowded back at the start. Black Burn tired after showing speed to the stretch. Salvisa was cut off and knocked back on the turn for home when going fast and seeming to have a chance.
