GALTEE MORES OWNER DEAD. Mr. J. It. Gubbius, a flue old Irish sportsman is dead, after having lived sixty-seven years. In the course of a long career on the turf, many minor successes fell to his horses iu Ireland and England, but lie achieved the summit of turf fame in 1S97 when bis splendid colt Gallec -More won "The Triple Crowu" by taking the Two Thousand Guineas, Epsoni Derby and Doneaster St. Leger. It was his rare good fortune to win the Derby again in 1902 with Ard Patrick and altogether he was the most successful of all Irish turfmen of recent years.
