Mexican Silver had a rough journey and was knocked back on the turn. Dunvallo was going well In the stretch. Judge Davey had no chance at the start Ben Strong was "practically left. Tom Cogan took up the running when Loney Haskell bolted and led the remainder of the journey by a comfortable margin, although he was driving at the end to stall off Dunseverricks rush. The latter ran forwardlv throughout and finished with unexpected gameness through the closing quarter of an extra good etTort. Yama Christy, which had trailed In the rear for two miles, moved up like a Hash in the last naif but jumping poorlv, had taken a lot out of him and be could never get up. Dromedary went well for two miles, was, in fact, under a pull and finished with his rider sitting still and can do much better. Loney Haskell made the running for six furlongs and then ran out of the course. Ike showed fine speed and, fencing well for a mile, showed steady improvement. Sewell came fast from the rear and ran a grand race. Oran looked thin and overdrawn, lacked early speed and was really never dangerous, although he stuck to his work In game fashion. Entree moved up rapidly in the last six furlongs and just failed to get up, running a remarkably good race. Bulls Bye trailed for the first half and improved his position rapidly on the luckstretch, went very wide throughout, however, and finished lnwlng out at the end of a line effort. Orniondale made the running under a choking pull for a mile and succumbed to the winner after a sharp tussle to retain his advantage, came again on the last turn and then tired. JIcKittredgti ran a grand race for liim. but was outclassed here. Bohemian showed plenty of speed in pursuit of the leader for a mile, but failed to stay. Southern Cross, badly shut off at a critical ftoitit on the last turn, came on at the end with a belated rush and put up a very good e0"ort. Sly Ben. away poorly, made up a lot of ground. Is rounding to and will do to watch. Esoteric, badly bandied, finished like a cyclone. Keator, excessively urged to overhaul the leader in a fierce gale prevailing at the time of running, quit badly in the stretch. Lord of the Forest was knocked to the rear ou the last turn.
