LEE RIDES AND BEAU BRUMMEL WINS. Lady Fesca Is a Good Filly Woolstone Upsets Calculations at Latonia. Cincinnati, 0., June .17. With J. Lee as his pilot. Beau Brummel was in forward contention from me start of the fourth race at Latonia today and he won it easily, quite in contrast with his most recent performances. The performance was such as to cause John Marklein to announce that Bean Brummel will start in the Queen City Handicap next Saturday, and it does not help the cause of jockey Dearborn, who Is under suspension for having ridden this colt In a suspicious manner at Louisville. Mackerel was the .only other winning favorite today. J. Lees second victory came in the closing race when Bernie Cramer showed a reversal of form over his last previous effort. He was in the lead all the way. Little Klkin, which finished third, was probably best, but Kllenor, bis jockey, recently granted an apprentice allowance, was of .slight aid to him in the final drive. Woolstone upset calculations In the third by leading all the way and winning from Solly M. and Delo Strome. The latter was much the best, but under weak handling, was lucky to take third place. Her rider, V. Powers, was fined 5 for rough riding. J. W. Ferguson uncovered a good filly in Lady Fesca in the fifth and, with a better rider than Fogarty to handle her, she might have won. The layers who took liberties with her, experienced some moments of uneasiness when she turned into the stretch with a good lead. She was beaten ont by Katherine Murphy and Moscow Belle. The latter was slightly impeded in the last few strides" and jockey T. Taylor claimed foul against the , winner, which was not allowed. Taylor was suspended for three days by the starter tor disobedience at the post. T. II. Hyan telegraphed Secretary Dillon that True Wing and a stable mate will arrive here early tomorrow morning. J. C. Yeager and Frank Lanterman joined the rauks of the layers. They have on a partnership book. Sanford Lyne, who was among the visitors today, recently received a letter from Lucien Lyne in which the jockey says he will probably go over to France from England to finish out the season.
