WILL BAR ALL WHO RACE ON SUNDAY. American Turf Association Directors Meet at Detroit John J. Ryan Is Reinstated. Detroit, Mich.. June 17. The regular monthly meeting of the directors of the American Turf Association was held at the Hotel Cadillac today with Messrs. Matt J. Winn, Edward Corrigan, Walter 0 Parmer, William J. OBrien, W. Campbell Scott and Secretary McAllister present. A decided stand against Sunday racing at the two half mile tracks in the vicinity of New Orleans was taken in the passage of a rule barring all horses, owners, trainers, jockeys, bookmakers and officials participating in such racing in future from all tracks of the American Turf Association. On the presentation of statements and receipts showing that he had discharged his obligations to certain bookmakers, John J. Kyan was reinstated. Itvan was debarred from the privilege oT the tracks for failure to pay some markers at Latonia last J "steeplechase Jockev S. Heidel, who was ruled off at Union Park, St. Louis, was reinstated on recommendation of Judge Joseph A. Murphy, and he will ride the Jumpers of William Gerst at Windsor. About seventy-five licenses were granted to trainers and jockeys and a large number of licenses refused to ruled-offi persons, who applied for reinstatement.
