Won easily; second driving; third the samp. Deacon, away well and running to his best form, forced a fast early pace from the start, passed Our Anna after going a half and came away with a rush in the stretch. Monsignor suffered from interference in the early stages and had a rough trip on the stretch turn and, when clear, came fast and took second place in the final stride. Blaze o Light, poorly handled, was in close quarters for the first quarter, went wide into the stretch and closed a considerable gap in the last quarter. Our Anna tired fast after going a half. Rellinenee closed a big gap in the stretch and was going gamely at the end. Orlandwick had a rough trip and was poorly handled. Roger S. had no mishaps. The last four at the start had scant :!utiice. Mackerel broke from an outside position and had clear sailing throughout, ran into a long lead at once and held the others safe all the way. Stone Street suffered from interference soon after the start, then stood a hard drive gamely turouglfc the slretch, but was not good enough. Sabado was caught in a jam at the half and had to work" through a rough trip, finished well and would have been troublesome with clear selling. Buto was knocked back soon after the start and closed a big gap. Rexall ran a bad race, ibebals ran fairly well and had no mishaps. The winner was entered for 00; no bid. Dele Strome, much the best, was sharply blocked off sqod after the start, trailed far back under weak handling for the first half, then moved up fast and, weaving her way through, finished resolutely and would have won In a few more Htrides. Hazel Patch had no mishaps and quit badly after going three-quarters. Anna Ruskin loomed up daiigerously on the stretch turn, but tired in the last quarter. Vipsanla ran fairly well. Electorlne showed superior speed in the early stages and, being clear of interference, set a fast pace, but was not good enough to beat the winner. Ovelando, also a sufferer from interference, closed a big gap in the stretch nnd would have been second in another stride. Harry Scott, going wide most of the way, ran fairly well. Kalherine Murphy, hard ridden all the way, set a fast early pace and seemed beaten in the stretch run, but came again under punishment and outstayed Moscow Belle. The latter closed a gap steadily, but was in close quarters in the last furlong and was slightly Impeded by the winner. Lady Feca showed a high iligiit of speed and, better handled, would have won. Evelyn S. had a rough trip and finished with a rush. Black Dress showed improved form and was right there all the way. Balla ran a bad race and was neve? a serious contender. Little Elkin, much the best, closed a big gap and would have won with good handling, but Ellenor had a hard time in staying in the saddle. Leo Bright had a rough trip, but was never a serious factor.
