Lyon, A rapid breaker, forced Ketchemike along at a fast pace until on tlie turn into the homestretch, passed him and stalled oft a challenge from Seymour Rentier. Seymour Behtler heg-iu slowly and was forced to work his way up on the outside, but finished gamely under punishment. Ketclie mike was a fast contender for three furlongs, then tired. Eleanor Fay finished fast and would have been third in another stride. Giovanni Raggio broke slowly and was given an easy ride. Lee Harrison II., prominent from the start, was carried wide when entering the homestretch, finished Willi a rush when straightened out and outgamed Alencon in the final drive. The latter, on the inside all the way, saved ground when entering the homestretch, was well ridden, ran a good race and had no mishaps. Ma Reck was gaining on the leaders in the last sixteenth and going much the fastest at the finish. Posing was much used in setting the early pace, which was very fast, and tired in the stretch. The latter worked her way through on the inside while rounding the far turn and finished fast under .punishment. Lady Alicia was a forward contender at all stages and hung on gamely in the final drive. John J. Rogers showed a Hash of early speed, but tired in the last quarter. Merrimae, a qui:-k beginner, showed early speed and raced Editii Glen into tlefeat in the run around the far turn. Lee Crest broke slowly and dropped back in the first sixteenth and did not run his race. The winner was entered for 00; no bid. Scratched 091CS Star Emblem, 102.
