KING EDWARD HOTEL CUP RACE RENEWED. Secretary W. T. Fraser of the Toronto Jockey Club announces that the King Edward Hotel Gold Cup has been renewed again. The conditions governing the final disposition Of the plate have been changed so as to insure, in all probability, a longer life for the event as a fixture of the spring meetings at Woodbine Tark than that of its predecessor. The King Edward Hotel Gold Cup having become the property of 1resident Joseph E. Seagram enforced the dropping of that event or its renewal by the King Edward Hotel Company, which has been done, and the company offers another gold cup of the value of ,500, and the club offers the same amount in money, the cup to become the absolute property of any owner winning the race four times or three years in succession, three horses, the property of different owners to start or race to be void. The most important stake to be run during the meeting is the Toronto Cup with ,000 added money. The Seagram Cup is a highweight handicap for Canadian owned horses, none to carry less than 100 pounds, for ,000 added money, and an equal amount of plate donated by the president of the Jockey Club, and to become the property of any owner winning it two years in succession. The Liverpool Cup has the same conditions as the Seagram Cup, but the plate is presented by the Ontario Jockey Club.
