Royal Stone, off flying, set a stiff pace to the stretch, then faltered for an instant, but rallied when an eighth out and finished going away. Traffic, after being outpaced to the final eighth, came fast at the end, outstaying Chipmunk under punishment. The latter menaced when lurning for home, but ltoltcd slight ly in the last fifty yards, which lost him second place. Lucky Mate showed speed, but fell away when an eighth out. Dr. Simrall, always within striking distance, swung wide when entering the stretch, but rallied when an eighth out, then suddenly tired at the end under a poor ride. Barney Oidfield finished fast. Strut Martin tired. Ban Lord ran poorly. The winner was entered for 00: no bid. The latter showed brilliant speed for seven furlongs and took kindly to the going, but tired when the pinch came. The Englishman raced forwardly throughout and stood a long stretch drive gamely, or-inoniles Right finished fast. Matador quit badly in the final eighth. The winner was entered for 00; no bid.
