Co., away fast and showing a liking for the going, went into the lead from the start and won all the way. BUaptrt went wide all the wav. but ran a good race and finished fast. Prince Imperial began slowly and. while going wide in the last half, closed a big gap and finished with a rush. Ethelburg showed speed for a half, but tired badly In the last furlong. The Peer trailed distantly for the liisi mile and wore Plate Glass down in the stretch. The latter showed the most speed for a mile, but tired badlv in the final quarter. Kctchemike ran fairly well. Huerfano came from a long way back in the last half. Rustle and Cymbal tired badly after going three-jtiarters. The winner was entered for 00: no bid.
